Good morning friends. Checking in for 24 on this my 48th day of sobriety. They start adding up fast don't they? Prayers and best wishes to those struggling. Welcome to all the newcomers, I am glad you are here. This forum and in particular this thread has been helpful in ways I cannot explain. I just found this quote, and just reading it made me feel a little better. Some of you know that my dad is dying...it may be a day, or a week. I know what you are going through Venuscat, my hubby was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer in December last year, they gave him 2 months to live. he's hanging in there bravely, but every morning I dread checking on him in case he has gone during the night...... He has lesions in the lungs, liver, and lumbar region. Chemo and radiation are just keeping his pain at manageable levels at the moment. Prayers going out to Venus & T-Girl. I watched my Dad die of lung cancer last December, so I know how you both are hurting right now. Life is precious and we need to be grateful for any time we are given. It's 5:27 AM and I'm in for another day sober. |
