Back from vacation and back on the wagon.
I had a few drinks while away but did not get drunk so I consider myself still sober.
My wife gave me the OK to try moderate drinking but only while we were away so it is back to abstinence for me again until she paroles me again.:)
It was weird but I didn't really want to get drunk but it was nice to have a few to socialize with people we met.
If you don't want to drink at all I would not recommend an all inclusive since non drinkers do not fit in well with the scene and there is a pressure to participate. This is why my wife gave me an exemption. We were feeling isolated from the rest of the crowd. If you are a complete loner, which I am not, it may work out for you.

As far as the highlights of the trip it was mostly just relaxing on the beach and around the pool.
We went on one side trip to Manatanzas, a city with a bit of history, but it was quite boring. Not even getting drunk would have made that fun. :)

My wife and I don't have any kids together, I have two from a previous marriage that live in Canada with their mother. We have tried invitro/invivo three times without success.

Like you :) she pours love, time and her heart into her niece and two nephews.

Well it is back to the old routine.
Back to the gym.
Back to no drinking.
Back to new sweets.
I got about 5 pounds to lose again.
Ho hum.

Don't think I could control it like you did. The first day of free drinks at the resort would have turned into a non stop drinking holiday for me.

But good for you. Hope it doesn't set you off though.

I'm on day 13 of no alcohol today....I've got more done in the last two weeks than I have since July when I started up again.

No real urges to speak of either...just keeping busy seems to keep the devil in its box. Been to a couple of meetings too, and they help. Days and weekends seem so much longer, and way more enjoyable again.

It's nice to be sober and enjoying life...!!!

I am so happy for you Sir Richard......even though I miss my IM pal........LOL......

I am off to bowling....we have a Halloween banquet too so I had to make my famous deviled eggs!!!!!!

I will stay in the corner for the rest of the week with the dunce cap on. :)

I am done with drink for a long time. Probably until my next vacation south next year and maybe longer. One day at a time and all that. :)

I was thinking you should also get back to that diet as well, Fub. LOL.

still around and doing well. Just haven't had a lot to say. Maybe Fub is taking the corner thing too serious by keeping quiet...:)

Been playing a lot of golf lately, the weather has been great, mornings in the 50's and afternoon high 70's. Can't beat that weather! Big two day local golf tourney on Nov 7&8, then start the inprocessing procedure of my new job the next day... only 5 shifts of my present job remaining.
