Time got away from me last night, I forgot to post my grateful thought...I was thankful yesterday for a clearing in the rain long enough for my running club to meet and get a run in...oh, and by the way, it is raining again this morning! Thankful for the Spring showers that will bring May flowers.

Grateful that I found SR over a year ago.

Grateful for a plentiful work week, warm weather, and softball games to watch.

Grateful to negotiate with a Sirius radio rep last night as my contract is about to expire. He gave me what I felt was a very good 6 month deal.

On the way to work yesterday, Sirius radio had the top 40 countdown on the 80's station on this week from 1987. I caught the last few songs of it. And the #1 song on the charts on this week from 1987 is...........Rusty and his AA band! Just joking.

The #1 song this week from 1987 is .......Starship "Nothings gonna stop us now."

Grateful to feel the emotion and live life and not worry about drinking to enhance it.

Grateful the Women's basketball championship is on tonight and should be a great game. It is a nice distraction from stress, too.

Grateful my Dad was discharged from the hospital today and grateful my brother takes on a lot of responsibility with my Dad without being asked. It is such a relief to have him to rely on after taking on so much with my Mother in the past.

Grateful my friend is back to work after a six week leave.

Grateful to be alive. When I drank I wanted to die. What a difference!

Grateful I woke unusually calm this morning.

Grateful I prayed and meditated about carrying that calm through the day.

Grateful I had an anxiety free day despite the work load. I'm finding it really does work if you work it!!!

Grateful to have picked my mom up from the hospital tonight. Although she still isn't feeling well, she's glad to be home and I am grateful to help her out.

grateful for the kind words from the daughter of a long time friend who has just passed

Grateful that I found my way back to SR. Grateful that my brother who has been alcohol-free for 13 years is sending me a packet of the information from when he went into recovery. Grateful he supports me 100% (we are a lot alike, and I've always looked up to him...he's a good mentor!). Grateful that I've learned so much here and I'm finally putting it to work with confidence and more strength than in the past.

Grateful to finish a nice meal, have a cup of chamomile tea, and be able to climb into a nice warm bed and call it a day. Hugs and love. And prayers for those of you that posted about a family member, friend, etc. that have had to face hospital time and loss. Blessings to you all!
