Oscar is his name and he's a short haired dachshund I've been baby sitting since October.

He doesn't do well with children and his "mom" just moved where there are many kids.

It tells me a lot that she loves him so much she is paying me 4 months of babysitting money (no small change) if I would take him. She said that she knows I love him that much and him, me.

The funny part is until him I was a serious cat person. This little guy wormed his way into my heart.

For Oscar coming into my life, I am grateful.

Today I'm grateful that I've matured enough in my recovery to be a trusted dog owner ( or parent depending on how you see it)

I just got one of the best seats in the house for the local Depeche Mode concert. If I can't figure out today what to be grateful for i have a hole in my head. Lol.

I'm grateful for the concert ticket, I haven't been to a concert in over 10 years

I'm grateful for the food I'm getting ready to feed Oscar, and of course for Oscar himself

I'm grateful people have faith in me when I don't. It keeps me going

I'm grateful for the metal coin in my pocket for my hard earned clean/sober time

And of course, Grateful the Bryan Ferry ticket on the Floor I bought today. Nice to have that money instead of spending it on other things. The concert is one month before my sobriety birthday so I'm considering it an early birthday gift.

I'm grateful for the new friends I've met at my new home.

So glad to be aware of a possible medical problem with my dog so I can keep an eye on it before it becomes serious.

I'm grateful my dog was featured on the news as picture of the day. I'm grateful the Dodgers have closed the gap behind the Giants to 3 games. I'm grateful I had the 15 dollars to listen to my baseball games until the end of the season (at Bat app gives you all teams radio streams for only $3 a month. I'm grateful Zero is wearing his collar, it took a lot of,training as he was fearful of it. I'm especially grateful that Science Diet gave me a bunch of free food and other goodies.

Grateful for Zero enjoying his free BarkBox a friend sent to us. Zero is usually very picky with both toys and treats. As I was still opening it Zero snuck off with a stiffed toy taxi as big as his head. I am letting my friend know what a real hit this was.

I'm grateful that not only will I be taking Arabic this year at my community college but also finishing my last two years of my BA in Legal Studies/Paralegal Profession
