A lot more than I should have for a lot longer than was safe |
Last year I used to drink about 12 shots of vodka/brandy/whisky, plus some long necks beers, at daily basis. It was about $120 weekly. |
luckily/saddly for me i mostly just drank alone 2 handles of capt a week so about 50 a week |
so happy to find this I go through a fifth right now in about 2-3 days max. My tastes have gotten more expensive through the years. Started in high school drinking 40's and now think nothing of spending $20-30 for a fifth of decent bourbon. So Im spending about $90 bucks a week on booze. wow. Just writing this makes me see I need help.... |
I quite often would get a paycheck for roughly $250, spend half, or a little more than half, on one or two nights out getting plastered then spend almost all of the rest getting drunk another 3-4 nights of the week at home, with enough left over barely to pay my Netflix and Rhapsody bills and for lunch. My tastes also got more expensive, especially when it'd come to liquor and beer, except for the 40 oz.s I'd buy, which were gross but got me drunk in relatively quick fashion. I'd say in all, I'd spend at least $100 every two weeks on alcohol since I was about 21, almost four years ago, which is not much compared to other people on here, but it still boggles my mind on what else I could've spent my money on. I would've had to quit drinking after I lost my job 'cause I really have no money to spare for alcohol these days, not that I'd want to buy any in the slightest. :nyu |
Prolly $250/week. Damn - that's nearly $13k/year! |
About $125 to $150 per week. |
Are we including bail money in on this??????? |
I would say about $70 in beer and another $30 for cigarettes...WOW! No wonder I was beginning to find it difficult to pay my bills |
A 12 pack of beer at $15, six nites a week. |
At least $100. I went through around a 30 pack of PBR a day that cost around $17. Sometimes it was liquor as well. |
This is my 4th day sober, just joined this site yesterday. It's funny, i just tallied this up on my own and then decided to google what the "average" alcoholic spent per week in comparison to me. So, i was at, on average, about $145 per week. The "funniest" bit is how i would, after getting paid, always be so baffled as to how my paycheck dwindled so quickly...what was i spending it on?? Denial - the addicts' biggest enemy. Sheesh. |
From 12/21 to 12/25 I spent $1, 280.00 on booze and junk food. when I am drunk I tend to buy drinks for everyone in the bar, (clearly I can't afford it). I don't do this when I am sober. Now I am broke, depressed, hate myself, credit cards maxed out, bills not paid. Unbelivable! just Unbelivable |
I drank on my own but I sure went thru a lot of cheap sherry. $7.39 a bottle and I could easily go thru 2 a day and I did for 5 days straight. And the smoking doubles when you drink. It amazes me that I had no qualms spending my money on alcohol but I always second guess buying things when it comes to getting things I need. Screwed up thinking for sure! |
About $65 a week. About $260 a month. About $3,120 a year. Pure Insanity. |
$1300 a year is a very conservative estimate of how much I spend on Alcohol. |
I was drinking $30 cases of imports. I was going broke so I made a solid alcoholic decision to gut my refrigerator and cut a hole for a tap. I then bought half kegs. I saved a ton of money doing it but damn did I ever become entrenched in alcohol. I remember when i set it all up I was so proud. I cleaned up my whole place and sat back and enjoyed pouring myself a cold beer without even opening the fridge door. It's been over 3 years since I used it though. |
At least $100 per week. Over $5k/year. Wow. |
Between my H & I, $650 a month @ LEAST: 1-2 bottles of wine a night & a bottle of whiskey every two days+ some beer. Wow, I could have gone on so many luxury trips w/that money! What a waste! |
About $160 a week, so $640 a month and that's not including going out. |
