I’m not a relationship expert but I do know that sometimes the things we want are not the things that we need.
Anyone can say they’re sober. I see from your other threads he’s lied about that before.
Even if for argument sake he’s telling the truth, sometimes you can build up a rosy nostalgia for a past relationship, where you only remember the good things, or you try and convince yourself the only problem was your exes drinking… from your posts, I’m not sure it was?
Your new guy sounds great…you deserve better than what you had, I think.
