Sorry about the late reply. Congratulations on over 4 years everyone!

I don't come to SR often anymore but I am more excited about sobriety than I ever have been. My kids are getting older, they are 6 and 9 now. Considering they were 2 and 5 when I quit drinking, neither have any memory of me drinking.

I finished my first full marathon October 2nd. It felt great accomplishing something I put so much effort into. I never would have even started running if I was still drinking.

My 6 year old decided she also wanted to run. We have already run four 5k races together and are running a 5th on Thursday. She also joined a running club which she loves. She has a natural talent, even finishing 1st out of 24 in the nine and under age group one time.

Work has also greatly improved. Not being hung over half the time has greatly improved my quality of work. My employer has noticed, I have nearly doubled my salary over the last 4 years.

I could not imagine going back to drinking. Looking back, I was no where near as functional as I pretended to be, when I was drinking.

Great job again everyone, I hope you all enjoys the holidays!
