I do not think I would be sober today if I had not made these other changes….
I’m slightly paraphrasing here, Deckard, as I chopped the end off your sentence above, but the words above are just so true on their own. It’ll be hard (I’d say impossible) to quit drinking without changing a few other things and also filling in the huge void left by not drinking. Those who stick to the same old stressful job, flop out in front of TV and such habits are those who often relapse.
