Numb - I had such a hard time getting over the idea that drinking was enhancing anything or helping me deal with troubles. I'd relied on it for years, never realizing it was hindering me in so many ways. It was always my go to when problems surfaced - and it did nothing but prolong the misery. In the early drinking days it seemed to make a good time even better - but that quickly turned into just making me numb & foggy. It's so easy to see the truth now, from this end of things. I'm grateful you're here & working on yourself.
