Aly, good luck getting everything ready for your Mom. Take it one day at a time. Do you need to do some family training with the therapists to see what their recommendations are? Is there a need for a home evaluation where a therapist and your Mom go to her house to see how she moves in her own environment? I have done several prior to patients going home that way the family knows what if any equipment they may need, if they are able to negotiate obstacles within their home if using a walker or w/c, can they get in/out of their own bed, manage in the kitchen, safety issues such as throw rugs ..etc? Granted I do not know how your Mom is doing so sorry If I am being out of line.
