Not spilling the food reminds me of something that happened many years ago. I was walking home late one night, middle of winter with the pavements all iced over. I'd just been for a takeaway and was walking back home. I slipped, went crashing to the ground but managed to put my elbow down on the ground as I fell, perfectly balancing my takeaway food a couple of inches just above the ground. I was was bruised but my food was perfectly fine!
