You guys (JT & TC) have me in tears. I don't think I have ever read more powerful or beautiful posts before. I am keeping both of them.

Why we would ever flirt with the idea of drinking again when we have made a choice for this to be our WOL.

s My brother died when he was 9. I know what that pain feels like....just so much love.
Also, whether or not AA stuff appeals to you, have you read any of the stories in the Big Book? I remember when I did that, years ago, I had a lot of questions answered. Things I had been wondering and agonising over for so very long.
And that dude in the Big Book.....the jaywalker, the one who is addicted and won't stop no matter how many limbs he breaks....that has always resonated with me. That is the way I drank and that is exactly what would happen to me if I picked up. It would not be one day or one week. It would be an ongoing nightmare.
