Keeping secrets is so lonely and isolating.
That was my upbringing too. My job was to not only keep the secret but to make it look like everything at home was fantastic. I've never tied that to my drinking before but that makes sense. I drank alcoholically, was probably clinically depressed but my outward mask was everything was going great,
