Like you I never thought I would do the things I did when I drank. I travelled for work and I had to make the 3 and a half hour drive every Sunday to my hotel room. Every Sunday I would start drinking and not stop even when I had to start driving. I can't believe I was never pulled over but like you my tolerance was so high I was just drinking to put off the ugly withdrawals.
Before I became an alcoholic I would wonder how the hell anyone could drink and drive and how incredibly irresponsible they must be.
I am so grateful to be sober over a year now.
