I don’t think I’ve disclosed this here... but to get away from her screaming at me, I’d often take her car keys & go hide in her car
No one knows this. Ironically I felt safer in there. And I was completely homeless (just a few $ in my pocket) a few times when I walked out... I slept in Central Park & on park benches... outside my job for a few weeks. It’s definitely a dark period of my life.
