The nurse called back. She asked if I’d taken my full 6 mg of dilaudid. I said no, because I thought the dilaudid was only designated for specific liver pain (which I got as soon as I mentioned my leg pain).
No. She said take it if the pain is four or above, pain of any kind. The leg pain is itself is surely about a seven or eight!
Just speaking with these nurses gives me such a feeling of reassurance.
Apparently another nurse will be over later to order me extra Lasix.
I also took an Ativan 1 mg to help me sleep if I am too overwrought.
I think it will calm me and help me rest if nothing else.
What a worthy cause this is! I was so terrified and now I am at full equilibrium.
Later the grandkids will be over to exchange gifts. I hope I can get down there for the action.
