If I was in this situation, I would probably ask the alcoholic/addict's permission to give number to someone who can help. I've found, again and again, it's not healthy for me or the alcoholic/addict to be a part of making these arrangements.
Calling for help because I need it, because the situation is way beyond what I'm meant to deal with, has had very good results.
