I went to a local parish function this weekend.
Within 30 mins they'd run out of wine. That surprised me a little but it didn't occupy my mind obsessively for the rest of the night.
Although there were lots of people around me gettign tipsy, I didn't focus on that either - apart from thinking back now 'wow no one in that room of 100-150 ppl wrote themselves off like I used to' - I just had a good time.
There were several folks, like me, on the cola or water train.
I reckon the woodsman can leave the woods and get to a point where he isn't always seeing trees
