I couldn't imagine life without drinking. Now I can't imagine drinking again. My life sober is so much better, and simpler.
After I'd been sober for a while, I just stopped thinking about drinking. It was no longer part of my life.
It takes some continuous sobriety before you get to that point, so don't give in to the self-destructive urge to drink. It takes a while to get comfortable sober.
But it gets better with time.
