Once When I was two, my mother held me, and we danced,
with feet of joy we sped the room, the radio playing a special tune.

Once when I was ten we caught our reflection just by chance,
we laughed, and laughed, a hearty laugh that carried on the wind.

Once when I was fifteen, we hurried from store to store,
hopeing for the perfect dress to float acrossed the floor.

Once when the summer sun had melted into dusk,
we sat together swinging, no hurry and no rush.

Once when I was twenty, we lay upon the beach,
two tired bodies, side by side, the waves just out of reach.

Once when I was 24 I thought that life had let me down,
she smiled at me and simply said, not when loves in town.

Once when I was thirty two, I came upon her sighing,
the actor playing on the screen had set her heart to crying.

Once we raced like children, till we spilled upon the ground,
then rolled in leaves of yellow, red, and golden brown.

Once we crossed our paths did merge, like sugar to the fire,
what tears, what joy, what love, what pain, your life did so inspire.

The days they simply slipped away, but not your love it's here to stay.
Memories caught on the wings of time, can you hear the bells ring? can you here the chimes?
