I was convinced I wasn't an alcoholic yet (seems as though I was trying hard to get there in a hurry) bc I didn't have withdrawl. Then I did. And every time it got worse. Much worse. I shudder to think.
You should definitely take the meds as prescribed by your doc. Alcohol withdrawl can kill you.
By day 5.5 you should feel much better. Then you don't have to go through this ever again.
