Second, a website for your county in NC that might have resources you can use:
http://www.nchealthinfo.org/resource...o=0,264,67,0,0

Your mom can find many reasons, quite valid reasons, to not pursue help for her addiction. As you have already figured out, if she does not get help, she WILL be abandoning her children and leaving them without a mom or any resources, yet she still resists.

There is no one who can "force" your mom to receive treatment. What YOU can do is get the kids to Alateen - if they are old enough, and get YOURSELF to Alanon. I know it sounds weird - helping YOU when your mom is the problem, but I was amazed at how helping ME helped me to think better, to be more centered and to be able to apply my energy in a way that was actually helpful to the addicts in my life.

There is a Naranon and Alanon forum under the Family and Friends area of this site. Many, MANY people on those forums have been through, or are going through very similar situations to yours. I urge you to pop down and visit us... read a few threads and maybe post one of your own in an area where there are folks who are dealing with this every day can help.

I wish you the best....
