The point here really is you are not lucky- because luck has little to do with the hard work needed for sobriety. Every day, in every way- I am getting a little better. As for pain- I get that. It is always there- at best any pain- emotional or physical means there is stuff that needs healing. Constant pain- and the only way to control it- is to keep moving, trying, taking risks.
I will refrain from writing a thesis for you. So (sigh) I will have to make-do..

Well I could actually be considered old to some and young to others. I'm in the middle too thank you! Sobriety is hard work. Looking at ourselves is never easy especially the damage we have caused in the mist of our addiction.
