What helped me most is
Al-Anon. There, I was able to find the root causes that drove me to live in such an unhealthy way, and I heard from others the solutions they used to turn it around. Today for the most part, my relationships are healthy and I've retired from people-pleasing. My self-esteem has increased dramatically since I began my recovery!
