What has helped me with my depression and anxiety is thinking about things that I am thankful for and then to say what I am thankful for out loud or in my mind. I don't know if it works for everyone but that is what has helped me out.
Also, go out and do what you need to do even if you do not want to do it. I feel better when I do something that I don't want to do. If I stay home because I feel depressed, I become even more depressed.
