I have a hip/knee/back pain from years of very bad posture painting... we got a firmer mattress and it does help a bit.
I have a very firm mattress. I can't sleep on those pillow top things or the memory foam things. I sleep better on my air pad on the ground.
My knees need replacing. They are both wrecked. It's really funny that I can be painless walking but, when I stop moving the pain starts and builds.
