Sleepie, I had a physically, verbally and, emotionally abusive father. He was an alcoholic also. Took a few beatings growing up myself.
I walked away from him at the age of 21. Im now 55 and he's dead. Im learning that I need that I need to forgive him. Even in his death. Not for his sake but, for mine. For my sanity and peace of mind.
What you do is your decision. However, don't let your parents transgressions against you forever rule your life.
