For me the first year was all about counting. I was very happy to pick up my 1 year chip.
After that I pretty much stopped counting.
I remember my sobriety date of 3/6 and my ten and twenty year chips were a big deal. However, maybe half the years I didn't get a chip.
I played the big shot after receiving my 20 year chip give it a visitor at the meeting. Dumb. I wish I had kept it.
