One thing that helped me a lot was to make an actual list of things I would do when I wanted to drink. I had a couple things each for "wanting to drink/bored", "wanting to celebrate", "physical craving", "wanting to drink/anxious", etc. It was helpful to think it through and write it down.

I hadn't heard of The Outrun, are you liking it? It sounds worth reading from the reviews.
