I am probably a bit weird but I would be really embarrassed if someone started bowing or curtsying at me and I could never bring myself to to bow to anyone either. Obsequiousness I find really off putting - as I have been cruelly snubbed when the knighthoods are being doled out not bowing has not been a problem.
