What worked for me is joining with the monthly support thread. There is one here started for April 2016. Post everyday, and you will feel the support from the other members as you all will be going through the same ups and downs with your recovery. I also kept a binder of notes, affirmations, quotes, and print outs of everything I found that would keep me from drinking again. I read it everyday, and added to it everyday for months! Write down why you drank, what drove you to the bottle, and when you drank, and then change from there. Write down what drinking is taking away from you, what drinking is preventing you from doing, but most important, write down who you want to be as a sober person. Strive to be that person everyday, and trust me, you will become that person.
