Some say that AA is a cult. If so, then where do I sign up? Recovery, fellowship, and a Higher Power of my understanding sound like some things I need in my life. And if the program really does brainwash its members, then I say, "Good. My filthy mind could use a little washing!"
I didn't want to go to AA when I walked in to my first meeting. I wanted to be anywhere else in the world. But I'm glad I made those first steps toward recovery. Recovery has messed up my drinking and drugging, making it very hard to get drunk or high without any guilt, shame, or remorse. And I thank God for that!!!
Please pray for me... I need all the prayer I can get!!!
