- My biggest motivator is stage of life. I'm going to retire at the end of Jan. and don't want to spend the rest of my life drinking. There are too many other things I want to do.
- I've gotten back into exercise. I belong to the Y and do 3 days of cardio and 3 days of weights.
- I rely on SR a lot.
- I've really gotten into mindful meditation.
- I'm doing a lot of introspective work on myself. Working on changing my mindset and thoughts about myself and life.
These are all things I should have done years ago. But it's too easy to get complacent and think "some day". Unfortunately "some day" turns into years. I've been very fortunate/lucky that nothing big has crashed around me. But that was just a matter of time.
I think you're a lot younger than I. I'm 57. If you can get this out from under you now you'll be so much happier.
