I had trouble too. Still do. I just take it one day at a time with a commitment not to drink that day. I tell myself, well I'll drink tomorrow and go max out drunk, but for today I will not drink no matter what. I'm a natural procrastinator, I love to put things off till tomorrow, and this tip works with not against my personality. I do a lot of other mind tricks that result in me in delaying the decision to get drunk.
