Starting Over

I have been working on my road to recovery for a couple of years now. I haven't quite found the right formula for me, but I refuse to give up!!!

I had trouble too. Still do. I just take it one day at a time with a commitment not to drink that day. I tell myself, well I'll drink tomorrow and go max out drunk, but for today I will not drink no matter what. I'm a natural procrastinator, I love to put things off till tomorrow, and this tip works with not against my personality. I do a lot of other mind tricks that result in me in delaying the decision to get drunk.

You are bang on. You have to find what method will work best for you. So with so many options out there, you will find your path, I have no doubt.

Thank you all for your kind words & support. I am so thankful I found this site. It definitely got me through this weekend sober!! Just being able to read others words & knowing I am not alone in my struggle. Day six today :-)
