Amp, your situation sounds tough in any circumstance. I hope you and the family can get through it ok. I agree with your comment about feeling like you 'know' people on here - I get the same feeling and it really helps. We have one major thing in common, and no one judges anyone else.
Canguy, your sobriety is so important - don't let anyone take that away from you now. What's more important, keeping someone else happy or staying sober? I know what my answer is! Sounds tough - it is, and we have to be! We all have a long way to go on this road and it is very much in our own hands as to how clear or congested that road is. I'm trying my best to clear the clutter from my road, and that means friendships founded mainly on my old ways have to go. (True friends will be an asset during these times of course.)
:-)
Bought another book on mindfulness today by the way. I feel like the pieces of the sobriety jigsaw are starting to fit together.
Onwards and upwards once more!
Best Wishes as always to everyone.
