I try to always follow my gut. It has never steered me wrong. When I haven't listened to it is when things have gone wrong.
I have heard a lot of talk shows where survivors of terrible things always said their gut told them one thing but they ignored it and that's why the bad thing happened. I would much rather look an idiot for following my gut than winding up dead for ignoring it.
