I ignored what my gut was telling me for much of my life. It was not until I was sober that I started listening to it. My sponsor told me that some people believe that feeling we get is God talking to us and all we have to do is listen.
I tend to listen to it now. It flares up when I am being deceived. I don't "know" it, it is more like I can feel it.
