Oh yes, "accidentally" breaking things and then having this sad puppy look, "We need to buy a new, . . . or you may have to get a new, because I accidentally . . . " And you are boiling inside and counting to 10, 20, 100. And sometimes you do not feel rage, but just this unpleasant feeling as if you are standing on a really high building, on the very edge, and there is no fence. I think this would be what they describe as freeze in fight, fright, or freeze response.
I guess AH can also be interpreted as "abusive husband." And not to be unfair, I am sure that wives can be abusive too. It is all about control.
