I have a real soft spot in my heart for athletes. I was one (competitively) until I was 28 years old and started when I was 13. When I was in that zone, I would have whipped addiction before I had breakfast. Its different now, it takes great effort.
I'm glad your wife is there with you, just tough it out, you are on mile 16, only 10 left and your home free. And you never have to go through it again.
