I should say, it hasn't always been like this. The past four years have been very hard. It coincides with his parents and most specifically his mother turning their backs on us completely. He has been very hurt by that.
When that happened, the drinking escalated, as did the anger. And that's when the verbal abuse started. So he hasn't always been this way. And the person he is now isn't really him. Except he keeps showing me it is, if that makes sense.
