I assume you are referring to AA's step two. "Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity"
Do you drink even though you know it's not good for you or good for those you love. If you do, that's insane!
Have you tried to quit drinking and been unsuccessful?
Do you think that there might be help, (outside of your own willpower what you have tried on your own to address your drinking) that can help you to stop drinking?
If you have answered yes to these questions then have done the minimum necessary and complete step 2.
