I hope so. It's helped many. But if you struggle, I hope you can open yourself to more support. Perhaps even AA, despite your initial impression. Sometimes we try something and we are entirely open to the help, or our addiction is not ready to let go, and hence, finds fault where fault may not be.

There was a time when someone just telling me I drank too much set me off as being aggressive, much less the recovery message of AA.

But guess what? When I was ready...really ready to get sober, I welcomed all the support and help I could harness.
