My post sounds a bit like I'm trying to justify moderation but my feeling is actually the opposite (after some painful lessons this year). I've started phrasing it to myself this way: "I can control my drinking. Unless I'm drinking." That sounds kind of glib but it helps me remember how things have gone for me in the past. Repeatedly
