I was driving home from a visit to my hometown over the weekend and we passed an accident about halfway home on Sunday afternoon. Upon reading the news this morning, turns out it was a 19 year old driving with his 24 year old friend on a country road. Both drunk by initial toxicology, high speed, both ejected from the vehicle. 24 year old dead at the scene, 19 year old airlifted out and still in critical condition. He might get another chance too but he'll always live knowing that his drinking killed his friend.
