I try and stick with whole foods as much as possible, and focus on meats, fish, veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds. But I certainly have cake and ice-cream as a small treat on a regular basis. I take a Vitamin D supplement and a multivitamin. Early on, I read a book about treating alcoholism with vitamins and I took several vitamins, including lots of B vitamins. Not sure how much it helped, but I wanted to do what I could to heal myself.
