Marcher, love the pic of Marcher cat and Marcher dog :-) thanks! I have 2 grandkitties of same general breed. They are so intelligent!

Shoes, sometimes I'll go 10 or more years with thyroid behaving itself. Then suddenly, pow! I am one of that minority that can't get stable on the synthetic stuff. I do find that it's easy to sort of forget the timing issues and that's when I get myself into real trouble. Inevitably it seems like I end up seeing an endocrinologist to get it resolved. I have so far not found a PCP that can actually manage it. They approach it as a simple formula ... high tsh means more meds, then wait 8 weeks to test again. That's not always the answer and the 8 weeks wait is not only unnecessary (until dosage is very close), but it also prolongs feeling crummy. Unfortunately, the endocrinologist I trust is not taking new patients and if I don't see her at least once a year, I'm considered a new patient :-( So I try the soft sell with my PCP, sigh.
