Keep in mind that denial and minimization are at the forefront of both alcoholism and codependency. Whatever I thought my husband was drinking, was usually much more. However bad I thought things were effecting me, also was much more. The fantastic part is that reaching out for help works. Time and again. We can't do it for others, but being stronger within ourselves brings about change in many ways.
