I'm not surprised. These are just catchy little phrases that help get the message across, nothing more. They come from individuals or rehabs, but are not written into the AA program.

I quite like "Internal Spritual Malady". It fits me well, and fits in with the spirtual malady described in the big book.

Incredibly Short Memory fits well too "We have no effective mental defense against the first drink." The memory of the humiliation of even a week or a month ago does not come to mind" See the connection?
