Also, yesterday my BF was having a really rough day. I could tell something was wrong but just kind of left him alone. He finally told me that he was struggling and had called his sponsor that morning. He also said he knew it was just a feeling and that it would pass. It's funny because then he asked me, "do you ever just get tired of all the recovery stuff?" I said yes and told him he's not the only one!

Then we went to the bike shop to look at a new bike for me, which actually cheered him up. He's a big bicyclist and we're both looking forward to taking a trip on the Great Allegheny Passage this spring. When we got home we talked some more. I told him taking a day off from thinking about recovery is okay, but that we all need to keep plugging away at it to keep ourselves healthy and sane. He agreed. It was nice to finally see him laughing.

We both got through the day sober and went to bed smiling. I am so grateful for that. And for all of you.
